{Babymoon Guest Post}: A Day in the Life with A Crazy Beautiful

While I'm away drowning myself in our brand new baby Ocean, I asked a few other bloggers if they'd help keep you all company. I was very pleased to get so many responses because that means I can enjoy this little guy for that much longer.
Next up is one of my favorite ladies. Rachel is an incredibly sweet and stylish mama who's expecting her third baby. Love all the photos of her cute little family.
My name is Rachel and I am from the little blog A Crazy Beautiful where I share my daily musings of being a stay at home mama, while balancing life and dreams of becoming an aspiring photographer.  I am married to an amazing man and together we have 2 kids (a girl and a boy), plus another sweet boy due in November.  We live in Northern California and absolutely love it!

Excited to welcome another Australian mum, Rhiannon, who just had her very own little baby girl, Indi Alicia. And Indi's big brother, Cooper is the same age as my Sky. So many congratulations to you and the family, Rhiannon!!
Hello Milk Friendly Friends!
I am Rhiannon from Love Wisdom Motherhood, a mumma from Australia, and am very excited to be sharing here on Maryam's blog with you! I am lucky enough to have a hard working, and amazing hubby Dale, a very boisterous little 2 year old Cooper, and a new little bundle arriving into our lives in late July.
A typical day in our lives may just be like your own, with toys all through the house, balls being kicked left right and centre, and an attempt at keeping some kind of rhythm and therefore all our sanity. It is a busy little house, but it is what makes us a beautiful family.

Sometime in the night Cooper almost always makes his way from his bed into ours, and this is what I am lucky enough to wake up to.

{Fortuna Family Happenings}: Beach Life Video

Just wanted to share a video my dad created. It's a glimpse of the lagoon in front of our place that the boys get to enjoy everyday. I watched it and got teary eyed because I've been missing those little water boys as I am resting at home with Ocean. Hoping Baby O and I can join the gang at the beach sometime this week.

P.S. Per my dad, I guess only 7 seconds of the song can be added to post the video. It's so much better with the song, so if you go to youtube and play the song in the background, your viewing experience will be that much better.
Thank you Daddy/Grandpa Rod for putting this together!!
With love,

Baby Boy Fortuna's Name Announcement!

Now that we've had some time to really get to know our newest family member, we are filled with joy to introduce our little Ocean. He has blended in with our family seamlessly and we couldn't be more proud of his two big brothers, Coral and Sky.

The inspiration for all of our boys' names have been based on our Faith and love for nature. Not only is Ocean the perfect name for our Hawaiian born boy, but the word ocean is used often in our spiritual writings from the Baha'i Faith. And here's an example of one of the loved quotes that gave rise to our boy's name, "Immerse yourselves in the ocean of My words, that ye may unravel its secrets, and discover all the pearls of wisdom that lie hid in its depths."

Like his brothers, Ocean's middle name, Breakwell, is named after a young Baha'i, Thomas Breakwell, who after discovering the Baha'i Faith, devoted the rest of his life to serve it. If you're interested in reading his story, you can read that here.
Right now, we are very thankful for a healthy and content little boy and the gift of family (my parents, Brian's Mom and soon his Dad and my sisters) to shower their love on the entire family. We can't wait to introduce him to the rest of his family and friends as soon as we possibly can.

Thank you so much for all the congratulations you've sent our way!
With Love and Aloha,
The Fortunas
Maryam, Brian, Coral, Sky and our Baby Ocean

Breastfeeding in Style: Summer Time

I am just about 10 days away from my EDD and I am pretty giddy to meet our new little guy! So far he's enjoying the ease and comfort that the womb has to offer and I am pretty sure he might want to stay in there as long as possible. I mean, when you hear bits and pieces of all the crazy going on from his big brothers, I don't blame him!!!
I am also looking forward to swapping out the maternity closet and welcoming the belly-free, breastfeeding wardrobe. It's pretty exciting for me to be able to wear some of my fave things that have had to be tucked away for the past 6-ish months... it's like a free shopping spree.
I wanted to put together a little breastfeeding-friendly ensemble, with many of the picks  being from my beloved boutique Francescsa's Collections (don't forget to use "FRIENDLY" to get yourself 30% off). An easy-up top, paired it with a simple (organic) nursing tank from Leading Lady and that ladies and gents, is as easy as it gets.

Cheers to feeding our babes under the golden sun!

{Très Chic Mama Diaries}: 36 weeks

Hey Friends!!
I wanted to share my 36 week post over on Très Chic Mama Diaries. I am actually 38 weeks now and holding strong! Brian's mom got in yesterday and I am super relieved that this little baby wants to keep on cookin'. Both of my other boys came early (Coral was around 37 weeks and Sky was around 38 weeks) so I was getting prepared in case this little guy follows suit. You truly never know though, especially with the third, I’ve heard they can be the total curve ball. Anyone experience this? Either way, now that Brian's mom is here, I can relax and let things happen exactly as they should.
BUT....If I could plan it :), I want to shoot for after the 10th (EDD is 19th) because that's when both my parents get here, which would just be perfect.
So my biggest focus now that Brian's mom is here, is to really concentrate on spending special time with Sky. Coral is pretty A-ok with the baby thing and I know he will be a tremendous help, but Sky really needs this time so we can prepare him for this transition. He seems to be sensing the new baby and reacting in a way that never happened with Coral. Granted, Coral was only 19 months old when Sky was born, so he really didn't understand it completely. Right now, Sky knows there's going to be a big change and since he's generally a more sensitive little guy, he's been acing out and resisting.
So this week's main goal is let MaMaw keep easy-going Coral entertained and I can really gobble up all the Sky I can get. Just in one day, I can already see a few changes. We've been talking not only about the actual birthing day, but also that Mommy will be very tired after the baby is born and I'll have to be in the bed most of the day. Since I am his main care taker, my heart tells me the first week will probably be the hardest. I know he will adjust and I need to keep thinking positive, because truly, he could completely be perfectly fine with it.
{Sky and I got to go on a mini-date to Kahuku Farms to get delish smoothies and veggie pizzas. If you are ever on this side of the island, you need to stop by for lunch on Fri, Sat or Sun.}
He's an ear kisser :)

Love that sweet little guy.

That's what I got for now.
With love,

P.S. Hurry up and get your booty over to this page and enter to win a diamond and gold necklace! You don't have to be pregnant, or even have kids yourself. Win it for any mother you know and love.
