{Très Chic Mama Diaries}: 36 weeks

Hey Friends!!

    I wanted to share my 36 week post over on Très Chic Mama Diaries. I am actually 38 weeks now and holding strong! Brian's mom got in yesterday and I am super relieved that this little baby wants to keep on cookin'. Both of my other boys came early (Coral was around 37 weeks and Sky was around 38 weeks) so I was getting prepared in case this little guy follows suit. You truly never know though, especially with the third, I’ve heard they can be the total curve ball. Anyone experience this? Either way, now that Brian's mom is here, I can relax and let things happen exactly as they should.

   BUT....If I could plan it :), I want to shoot for after the 10th (EDD is 19th) because that's when both my parents get here, which would just be perfect.

   So my biggest focus now that Brian's mom is here, is to really concentrate on spending special time with Sky. Coral is pretty A-ok with the baby thing and I know he will be a tremendous help, but Sky really needs this time so we can prepare him for this transition. He seems to be sensing the new baby and reacting in a way that never happened with Coral. Granted, Coral was only 19 months old when Sky was born, so he really didn't understand it completely. Right now, Sky knows there's going to be a big change and since he's generally a more sensitive little guy, he's been acing out and resisting. 

    So this week's main goal is let MaMaw keep easy-going Coral entertained and I can really gobble up all the Sky I can get. Just in one day, I can already see a few changes. We've been talking not only about the actual birthing day, but also that Mommy will be very tired after the baby is born and I'll have to be in the bed most of the day. Since I am his main care taker, my heart tells me the first week will probably be the hardest. I know he will adjust and I need to keep thinking positive, because truly, he could completely be perfectly fine with it.  

{Sky and I got to go on a mini-date to Kahuku Farms to get delish smoothies and veggie pizzas. If you are ever on this side of the island, you need to stop by for lunch on Fri, Sat or Sun.}
