While I'm away drowning myself in our brand new baby Ocean, I asked a few other bloggers if they'd help keep you all company. I was so very pleased to get so many responses because that means I can enjoy this little guy for that much longer.
Now let's see what's going on down unda with the cutest little fam in Australia...
*****

here is how our day starts every day: cuddles in bed. we co-sleep so marley always wakes us up with giggles and cuddles or climbs onto my head and falls back asleep. she heads to the window every morning while i wake up and has a good look out for birds. she's my little bird watcher.

we then head to the living room to play with toys. the first picture is how it looks after play time and the second is after i clean it up, which i do every evening after she is in bed, to give her a fresh start every morning. if you were to come over in the middle of the day toys would be everywhere, step over the cars and lets have some tea.
we eat breakfast (usually all i can get her to eat is a banana) and play blocks on the floor. marley is a really independent little girl when it comes to her play and we try to encourage that. lately she even wants to read books on her own (sigh, she's growing up.) we also take this time to make the bed or clean up small messes.

afternoons are always spent outside bird watching or having lunch at a park. we have play groups and music classes during the afternoons as well. when daddy isn't working we enjoy going to the shops or playing with her ball in the front yard.

marley has two naps a day. one mid-morning and one in the afternoon. i nurse her to sleep and go enjoy some sacred time. when josh is home we cuddle up and watch movies and eat junk food or plan our weekend. josh may go outside and take pictures or play with our sweet bird, gandalf.

when josh is working i'm head first into a book (or writing my own), art journaling, or advocating for different causes i believe in. i'm back and forth onto many different projects and every nap time is different for me.

after her afternoon nap we put her in the swing to help her wake up. the swing is a beautiful medicine to our home. it cures all sorts of breakdowns. our late afternoons usually consist of small house work duties like laundry or doing the dishes. i try to get all the laundry done before the weekend so we can enjoy having a fresh start (i'm all about some fresh starts.)

we fall asleep and start all over the next day. we have a simple life over here in australia and feel extreemly blessed to have it in such a beautiful country. thank you for walking with me for a day!

Such a cute little life! We don't live in luxury by any means, but I'm working toward making our lives and home more simple. Family, friends and God are all you really need anyway, right? Everything else tends to fall into place when those things are at the front of your mind and middle if your heart :)
